A plain-language summary of how AnswerLens handles data. This is a demo build — please have a lawyer review and adapt this before relying on it in production.
What we collect
Audit inputs you enter — brand name, domain, industry, competitors, and an optional description — so we can run the audit and render your report.
Your email, only if you choose to join the Founding Agency program, so we can contact you.
Basic technical data — your IP address is used in memory to rate-limit abuse of the free tool; we don't build advertising profiles.
AI providers
When the tool runs in live mode, the buyer-intent prompts (which include your brand and competitor names) are sent to third-party AI APIs — OpenAI, Perplexity, Google, Anthropic, and a licensed SERP provider — to retrieve their answers, subject to each provider's terms. We query official APIs only and never scrape consumer apps. In demo mode, no external calls are made and results are simulated.
Storage & retention
Audit inputs and results are stored only to render and re-open your report. With a database configured, they persist; otherwise they are transient. We store short answer snippets and structured extractions, not full third-party page content. You can ask us to delete your data.
What we don't do
We don't sell your data, and we don't use it to train competing models. Don't enter sensitive personal, financial, or confidential information into the audit form.
